Other Ways to Get Involved

Mental Health Involvement Network
The Mental Health Involvement Network is a new place for Mental Health Service User involvement in Leeds. Joseph Alderdice, an Involvement and Development Officer at LIP, have been speaking to groups of service users to find out what current hot topics are affecting the services they use to ensure that the issues that matter to Service Users and Carers are at the centre of commissioning decisions, click here to read more.

NHS Leeds Patient, Carer and Public Involvement (PPI) Network
NHS Leeds have a Patient, Carer and Public Involvement Network that offer those who sign up the opportunity to be involved in decisions around the planning and delivery of NHS services, use their skills and experience to influence services in the NHS, and attend the events they hold twice a year. They also provide members with regular information about the work of NHS Leeds.

Leeds Engagement Network (LEN)
The Leeds Engagement Network was setup by Leeds City Council to give people the chance to share their views and help shape local Adult Social Care services. LEN participants receive all the latest information on a range of issues around Adult Social Care, are the first to comment and influence key decisions, help shape information to ensure it is accessible to all, and get vital feedback on how their views shape services. LEN is hosted by Leeds Involving People, contact us for more information.

Leeds Local Involvement Network (LINk)
Local Involvement Networks are required by government legislation to bring local people, community groups and organisations together so that they can improve health and social care services. Through joining the Leeds LINk you will have the chance to share your thoughts, ideas and concerns to ensure that the people of Leeds receive the health and social care that they want.

Leeds Citizens Panel
If you're concerned about issues in your community or Leeds as a whole then Leeds Citizens Panel need you. In these challenging times Leeds City Council are asking you what you want from services in Leeds by putting together a citizens’ panel. This will be a large group of Leeds people from all backgrounds who can tell the council about the services and issues affecting them. If you join the panel you’ll be asked to help a number of times a year with group discussions, workshops, online and on paper.

Patient Opinion Panel
The Patient Opinion Panel is an independent website that shares people’s experiences of UK health services, good or bad. They pass these stories to the right people to make a difference. Patient Opinion is about honest and meaningful conversations between patients and health services. They believe that sharing your story can help make health services better. Patient Opinion works because healthcare organisations are able to easily hear feedback when you tell your stories so they can learn from them.

Leeds Community Healthcare
Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust is responsible for providing services in the Leeds area. Their purpose is to provide high quality community healthcare to the people of Leeds. They do this by working in partnership with other organisations and groups, involving and developing their staff, and using their resources wisely to continually improve their services. They welcome the comments and views of patients, carers and the public of Leeds and they provide different ways that you can have your say about local health services.

Physical and Sensory Impairment (PSI) Network - Leeds
The Physical and Sensory Impairment Network - Leeds, is a forum for disability issues in Leeds. They work together to share information, to improve communication, and to represent the interests and concerns of disabled people. They circulate information through a monthly newsletter and through their website. They  have 54 member groups with a combined membership of over 4,000 individuals.
