Locality Networks

Introduction

A scheme that aims to provide support, advice and develop opportunities, for people using services provided by the Council, Health or Social Services, in certain areas of Leeds.

An opportunity for people to lead the way in shaping the Community Care Services they use, at a local level, in their area of Leeds.

Local people - local views

We want to bring together local Disabled People, Mental Health service users, Black and Minority Ethnic service Users and Carers, Older peopleand Carers, in fact anyone who uses Community Care services in each area.

This is your chance to:

  • Influence changes in the planning of Health and Social Services
  • Organise and run yourown network meetings to discusslocal isues taht affect you about Health and Social Care
  • Be trained in involvement work
  • Develop new links with Service Users and Carers across Leeds
  • Develop links with the decision makers, for example, the Health Service or the Council
